Train the trainer

For internal key resources in the municipalities and Digi Networks who will act as facilitators and play an active role in the development of leaders and employees at various organizational levels.

After the course, you will be able to lead and facilitate local learning and development processes related to digital maturity and transformation, with the self-study package as a central learning element.

The course is organized by the Digi Networks in Norway and delivered by DI2X's Advanced Certified Partners.

Target audience

  • The course is intended for internal key resources such as facilitators, HR staff, managers, and others who will play an active role in Norwegian municipalities' work on digital maturity and the development of leaders and employees at various levels.
  • It is particularly aimed at those working with competence development, leadership development, or organizational development, and who will support the implementation of local learning processes using the DI2X frameworks and self-study package.
  • The course is especially relevant for those who wish to strengthen their professional confidence and role as facilitators and gain a structured and practical approach to creating reflection, learning, and development in their own municipality or Diginetwork.
The course aims to enable participants to:
  • Use DI2X’s research-based frameworks and methods to support local learning, competence development, and organizational development related to digital maturity and transformation.
  • Contribute to making the DI2X frameworks accessible and relevant to leaders and employees at various levels in the municipality.
  • Develop confidence in the role of facilitator for learning and development processes, and be able to create engagement, understanding, and ownership for digital maturity and transformation within your organization.
  • Use the self-study package, assessments, AI chatbot, and other learning materials as support tools in the municipality's work with digital development and change.

Content

  • The course is conducted in a dialogue-based format and is based on the participants’ own practice and a case chosen by each participant.
  • Participation requires prior knowledge of the DI2X frameworks. Upon registration, participants will receive access to the books Mind the Gap and Digital Transformation by Pernille Kræmmergaard, as well as to the self-study package for municipalities, various learning materials, and the chatbot on the DI2X Resource Center.
  • Preparation:
    Participants must complete the self-study package and read both books before the course days, so they come well-prepared with solid knowledge of the frameworks and can actively engage in professional discussions. Participants are also asked to consider which case they wish to work on for certification and to coordinate this with their immediate manager.
  • The course concludes with an oral evaluation by the course leader. Upon passing the evaluation, participants will receive a DI2X certificate documenting the achieved learning outcomes.
2-day course

In-person attendance with teaching, dialogue, exercises, and guidance.

The course is conducted through dialogue-based instruction, with ample opportunity to discuss your own practice.

Case Work in Own Organization

Use various materials and learning resources from the DI2X Resource Center as well as, if applicable, DI2X Tools in your own practice.

Two hours of guidance and coaching are provided during the process (in groups).

Duration: approx. 2 months

Virtual Workshop and Certification

Participants present their own case, personal experiences, and the outcome for their organization.

All course participants attend and share knowledge and experiences from their work with the case.

Concludes with an oral evaluation by the course leader.

Course Leaders and Instructors

If you take the course with DI2X, you will meet Eirin Folde, Country Manager for DI2X in Norway. Eirin has many years of experience in the education and training of facilitators.

If you take the course with one of our partners, you will meet one or more of their advanced certified consultants.

Final Evaluation and DI2X Certificate

The course leader reviews the participant’s final case description and conducts an oral evaluation during the concluding virtual workshop, assessing whether the learning objectives have been met.

DI2X issues a certificate as proof of course completion and achievement.

Learning Objectives

After completing the course, you will be able to:

  • Communicate about DI2X frameworks Digital Maturity and Organizational Capabilities and link the content to a concrete case and development initiatives in your own municipality
  • Demonstrate understanding of the self-study package, how it is structured, and how it can be used in local learning and development processes within your organization and practice
  • Plan and facilitate a learning and development process based on the needs of the municipality, and reflect on your own role as a facilitator
  • Use learning materials such as the self-study package or other support tools in dialogue and learning activities with managers and employees (e.g., data from DI2X assessments, the chatbot, or other materials from the resource center)

Practical completion

Part 1: The cource

2 days

At the two-day course you will learn about and discuss the two frameworks, try the tests yourself, and learn how to analyze and use test-results. Furthermore, the course will focus on competency development and organizational learning, linking the theoretical knowledge and the test results to this objective.

The first day of the course focuses on the framework: Digital Maturity and Organisational Capabilities. The second day of the course focuses on DI2X tools and different applications. You will work on an analysis of test results and case. Furthermore you will learn how to use the Tools as well as the materials in the Resource Center in competence development and learning processes in your own organization.

After the two course days, you will answer a multiple-choice test consisting of 30 questions. The test takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Case work

4 weeks

The next four weeks you will work on a case in your own organization, or at a co-operation partner. You will collect data to enlighten your planning of competence development or another initiative. This could be data from our Tools, strategies from the organization, interviews with key individuals, dialog with managers etc. After the data collection you will have a one-hour virtual supervision with a DI2X expert.

 

Part 3: Virtual Workshop

½ day

At the half-day workshop, you will present your analysis of the data you have collected as well as the goals of the next part of our case work. Based on feedback, inspiration and dialogue you will begin outlining the relevant competence development or other change efforts.

Part 4: Case Work

3 months

You initiate and facilitate a competence development or other change efforts in your own organization, where you use the frameworks, the DI2X tools, and test results etc. During this 3-months period you can participate in 2 virtual sparring sessions with a DI2X expert and other participants in the Certification program.

Part 5: Final Workshop

½ day

At the ½-day workshop you and the other participants presents your competence development or other change efforts and demonstrate what you have learned. The workshop allows for knowledge sharing and ends with a certification.

After completing the Certification program, you will receive a certificate stating that you have completed the program and when.
