About Eirin Folde

Eirin Folde leads DI2X Norway and holds overall professional leadership responsibility for the application and implementation of DI2X in Norway. She has played a central role in the establishment and development of DI2X in Norway since 2021 and has been a key contributor in making DI2X’s research-based knowledge, frameworks, and method for digital maturity and transformation accessible and applicable across both the public and private sectors.

Eirin has developed several of DI2X’s core programmes and continuously contributes to the development and maintenance of programmes, services, and learning materials. She designs and leads complex change and capability-building processes in which strategy, organisation, technology, and leadership are integrated into coherent development journeys.

She has a particular focus on sustainable change in practice – from assessment and insight to prioritisation, decision-making, and action.

Eirin has developed, led, and delivered Competence Boost in Digital Transformation, a national executive leadership programme with more than 2,600 participants from 260 municipalities and county authorities. In addition, she has developed Competence Boost 2 for operational leaders, change agents, and key personnel, with a strong focus on local implementation. Both programmes have been central to the national dissemination and application of the DI2X frameworks in Norway.

She has also developed a national self-study programme on digital maturity and digital transformation for more than 40,000 leaders in the municipal sector and has delivered extensive assignments and capability-building initiatives for governmental and private organisations.

Eirin teaches regularly in the DI2X Masterclass in Digital Transformation and contributes through keynote presentations, certifications, workshops, and professional process facilitation across the municipal, governmental, and private sectors.

Background and education

Eirin has extensive experience as a leader and senior executive in the public sector, as well as close collaboration with private companies. She has worked at the intersection of strategy, governance, organisation, and technology and has participated in research and development projects in collaboration with, among others, NTNU and SINTEF.

She holds education at master’s level within organisation and leadership, strategy and business development, technology management, innovation and digital transformation, as well as agile practices. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts degree in History and is a qualified educator (lecturer/adjunct), with studies in political science and creative subjects, including in-depth studies of Sami culture, as well as further and continuing education in areas such as process management, action learning, and public administration.
