DI2X Competence Boost 2

For groups of leaders and key personnel who seek support in translating their organization's digital ambitions into action through operational case work.

Competence Boost 2 is a research-based development program that provides leaders and key personnel with practical competence to lead digital transformation within their own organization.

Target audience

The program is designed for leaders and key personnel in the public or private sector, either within their own fields or across the organization. Participants work in groups during the development process.

The program aims to enable participants to:
  • Develop and carry out case work based on a selected generation of digital maturity
  • Link insights and solutions to the organization’s strategic ambitions
  • Use the DI2X frameworks as tools for analysis and development
  • Gather and apply insights from customers, citizens, or employees
  • Design, test, and further develop new solutions
  • Apply agile and cross-functional methods to drive progress and learning

Content

The program begins with selected resource persons in the organization completing a two-day course to become change agents. They receive training in the DI2X frameworks and process facilitation, and learn how to support and guide local development processes throughout the program. The change agents receive ongoing guidance and support during Competence Boost 2 from DI2X and affiliated subject matter experts.

The organization then carries out a development program consisting of four modules. Leaders and key personnel from different parts of the organization work in groups on their own case projects. Through the modules, they develop solutions and practice various working methods, based on insights from the DI2X frameworks, supported by their local change agents.

Start-up: Course for Change Agents

Selected resource persons complete a two-day course and become change agents responsible for supporting their own groups throughout Competence Boost 2.

They receive:

  • A comprehensive introduction to the DI2X frameworks (including a self-study package for municipalities, if applicable)
  • Insight into learning design, methodology, and facilitation practice
  • Training in leading reflection and local development processes
  • Access to support materials, assessments, chatbot, and learning tools
  • Ongoing guidance and professional support during Competence Boost 2 from DI2X and external experts
Further Development Program for Leaders and Key Personnel

- With Support from Change Agents Within the Organization

The program consists of four modules, each with three phases:

  1. Preparation: Individual work
  2. Workshop: Joint session with all participants
  3. Follow-up: Local group casework until the next module

The four Modules are:

  • Module 1: Technology Radar
  • Module 2: Design-Driven Innovation
  • Module 3: Prototype Development
  • Module 4: Agile Methods and Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

After Module 4, a final joint session is held with an expert panel that provides feedback on the process and results to the participant groups.
Case work can be tailored to the generation of digital maturity that the organization aims to focus on.

After the Program

Participants will have practiced developing and testing new solutions, work methods, and services, and gained a deeper understanding of how digital transformation can be implemented in practice. They will be able to connect strategy, technology, organization, and leadership, and will have strengthened both collaboration culture and innovation competence within the organization.

Duration and Implementation

The program typically runs over approximately 10 months. Each organization can adapt the pace, case selection, and format of the sessions as needed. Participants gain access to the learning platform, DI2X Chatbot, and DI2X Resource Center.

Program Leaders and Instructors

You will meet Eirin Folde, Managing Director of DI2X Norway, with many years of experience in leadership and competence development using the DI2X frameworks, along with subject matter experts from our partner organizations contributing to the various case projects.

Final Evaluation and DI2X Diploma

The program concludes with a joint presentation to an expert panel. Participants’ work is documented, and they receive a DI2X diploma for completing Competence Boost 2.
