To create structure and shared understanding, Bærum municipality chose to use the DI2X framework, methods, tools, and learning materials as the foundation for digital transformation efforts in the education and child development sector. DI2X was established as a shared reference point across kindergartens, schools, and services for children, youth, and families.
The framework provided a common language for digital maturity and enabled systematic work toward the ambition of “One Education and Child Development Sector”, where digital solutions support holistic services, quality, and effective collaboration around the child’s development.
A central element of the initiative was conducting a DI2X-based maturity assessment. The assessment provided the management team with a fact-based overview of current capabilities and highlighted both strengths and areas for development.
